14 Conferences Organized by the China Society of Image and Graphics Included in the China Association for Science and Technology's "Directory of Important Academic Conferences (2025)

Recently, the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) officially released the "Directory of Important Academic Conferences (2025)," which includes a total of 708 academic conferences. Among them, 14 conferences organized by the China Society of Image and Graphics (CSIG) have been included in this directory.

The selected conferences demonstrate five prominent characteristics. First, they exhibit a clear focus on serving national strategic goals. The vast majority of these conferences center their themes around national key areas for technological innovation and cutting-edge disciplinary hotspots, covering important topics such as new-generation information technology, quantum technology, artificial intelligence, aerospace, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment, and biomedicine. Second, they facilitate extensive and in-depth interdisciplinary exchanges. Addressing major cross-disciplinary challenges involving key generic technologies, frontier-leading technologies, and modern engineering technologies, the Society collaborates with national strategic scientific and technological forces and leading journals in related fields to organize in-depth discussions. Third, emphasis is placed on nurturing young talents, providing platforms for young scientists and technologists to broaden their horizons, engage in discussions and exchanges, showcase their achievements, and dialogue with senior experts. Fourth, academic mechanisms have been further refined. By establishing academic committees and increasing opportunities for interaction, debate, and questioning, the academic focus is strengthened, highlighting the central role of scholars. Fifth, improvements have been made in conference conduct, streamlining non-academic segments, controlling the scale of in-person events, and promoting simple and pragmatic conference organization. These key features underscore the fundamental requirements and value pursuit of high-level academic conferences.

In the future, the Society will leverage its role as a platform and hub to continuously enhance the quality of academic conferences. It aims to inject momentum into tackling key core technologies in the field of image and graphics and contribute to serving the nation's goal of achieving greater self-reliance and strength in high-level science and technology.
