Full Chinese Name: 类脑视觉专业委员会

Full English Name: Technical Committee on Spike Vision

English Abbreviation: TCSV

2 Brief Introduction to the Technical Committee

The Technical Committee on Spike Vision of the China Society for Image and Graphics (CSIG) is positioned to promote the development of spike vision theories, technologies and applications. It conducts discussions at three levels: structural level imitating the human brain's visual system, device level approaching the human brain's visual system, and intelligent level surpassing the human brain's visual system. It promotes the establishment of visual devices, models and methods that simulate, mimic and draw on the brain's structure and information processing processes, thereby manufacturing spike computers and spike intelligent systems, and leading China's spike vision to an overall leading position in the world.

5 Representative Achievements

1) Principle, Technology and System of Ultra-High-Speed Spike Imaging

Aiming at the inherent defects of static imaging in traditional cameras, a new continuous photography principle that modulates photoelectron flow into spike sequences is proposed. A megapixel spike chip and an ultra-high-speed spike camera have been developed, realizing ultra-high-speed, blur-free and high-dynamic imaging. A spike algorithm system based on spiking neural networks, including optical flow and depth estimation, target detection, tracking and recognition, has been established. It has received the first batch of the highest-level funding from China's first disruptive technology fund "Xinxi Fund". The appraisal by the Chinese Institute of Electronics states that "this achievement is a major original innovation in the field of ultra-high-speed imaging and machine vision, and the ultra-high-speed imaging technology has reached the international leading level."

2) SPAIC Spike Brain Simulation and Training Platform

A universally applicable spike brain simulation and training software platform has been developed for interdisciplinary spike brain computing research, providing a flexible and efficient programming tool for the research of new spike brain models and algorithms. The platform supports large-scale biological brain network simulation, various training algorithms for deep spiking neural networks, and the development of new spike brain algorithms integrating multiple domain technologies such as plasticity and gradient computation. Developed based on a Python front-end and multiple hardware back-ends, the software platform has achieved leading levels in the field in terms of functionality and computing performance.
